25-Year-Old Found Shot On Roadway In Region

A 25-year-old man was found shot on a roadway in the region after police responded to multiple 911 calls.

The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, in the area of Oakley Street and N. Clinton Street in the city of Poughkeepsie.

According to Poughkeepsie Police, responding officers located the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.

Officers immediately applied a tourniquet, and the man was transported via EMS to an area hospital for treatment. Police said he is expected to recover.

Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians responded, and multiple items of evidence were located and collected.

The investigation is ongoing.
